On The Media Is Speaking Our Language This Week
On Monday, public radio’s On the Media devoted a fair chunk of this week’s show to Amazon, and their venture into the world of publishing, both through Amazon’s Encore program for up-and-coming writers and their NY-based imprint, which just lassoed4-Hour guru Tim Ferriss.
There are also segments on advertisements in ebooks, and a new biography of Axis Sally.
It’s worth listening too, they do a thorough (yet succinct) job of exploring the implications of Amazon’s publishing and the segment on Axis Sally was fascinating.
